RIDA^®UNITY - The Fully Automated RT-PCR System for Your Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory

RIDA UNITY is the new fully automated RT PCR system from R-Biopharm that optimizes your laboratory routine from extraction to test results.

The RIDA UNITY system combines the entire molecular workflow from sample extraction, PCR setup, real-time PCR, and automated analysis into a unique complete solution for the flexible processing of up to 96 samples. The entire workflow of the RIDA UNITY system is designed to comply with the new IVDR directive.

Efficient

• Up to 96 reactions can be processed fully automatically per run on the RIDA®UNITY system.

• Up to six different assays can be individually combined in one run (assay combinations are independent of the matrix, whether BAL, throat swab, nasal swab, stool, culture, or wound swab).

• Up to three runs can be performed in one working day.

Intuitive

• Ready-to-use reagents reduce workload and increase laboratory efficiency.

• User-friendly software simplifies usage and ensures traceability of all samples and reagents.

• Fully automated evaluation and result analysis with the RIDA®SEEK software.

• The device software enables easy integration into an existing Laboratory Information System (LIS).

Flexible

• A modular approach allows the system to perform only extraction, extraction & PCR setup, or just PCR setup.

• Universal extraction is used for both DNA and RNA assays.

• Supports export to external real-time PCR cyclers.

Currently, RIDA®UNITY covers all common microbiological stool parameters (such as EHEC, EPEC, STEC, Campylobacter spp., Salmonella spp., Yersinia spp., Rotavirus, Astrovirus, Adenovirus, Norovirus, Giardia lamblia, Cryptosporidium spp., Entamoeba histolytica) and will soon include major respiratory panels (Influenza A/B, H1N1v, RSV, hMPV, Parainfluenza, Bordetella pertussis, Bordetella parapertussis, Bordetella holmesii, SARS-CoV-2, Chlamydia pneumoniae, Legionella pneumophila, Mycoplasma pneumoniae).
